
Pastor Eric A. Galbreath was born on July 11, 1975 in Columbia, Missouri. He is the oldest Son of Craig and Loretta Galbreath. He grew up in a family of ministers and has been active in ministry his whole life. As active a he was in youth ministry is his church he participated sports. After receiving numerous high school honors in football and track, he received a full athletic scholarship to play football for the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.
While at Kansas Pastor Galbreath joined the Ninth Street Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Rene' F Brown, who is currently serving as Senior Pastor of Mt. Zion First Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, La. While attending Ninth Street he served as a junior deacon and met his beautiful wife Renita who was Minister of Music at the time.
In 1998 he answered his call to the gospel ministry and married Renita. Two years later in 2000, after serving under to leadership of Pastor Brown, Pastor and First Lady relocated to Montgomery, Alabama and joined the Hall Street Baptist Church where Dr. Frank R. Johnson, Renta's father, served as Pastor.
Over the next 8 years Pastor served and trained under Dr. Johnson. After the passing of Dr. Johnson in May, Pastor Galbreath filled in and served as an interim until being called as the 17th Pastor of Hall Street in September. As Pastor he has moved forward in implementing effective strategies for church growth and ministry. First Lady currently serves as the churches Lead Musician.
Pastor Galbreath recieved his Bachalors degree in African-American Studies from the University of Kansas in 1999. In 2005 he earned a Masters of Public Administration degree from Troy University. He is curently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Christian Education from Trinity Theological Seminary.
Pastor Galbreath and first lady have been happily married for 11 1/2 years and have three beautiful children: Eric II 9, Kayla 6, and Joshua 2.
